Hello,
I recently graduated from California State University Sacramento with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Throughout the rigorous coursework and hands-on experiences, I gained a comprehensive understanding of business principles with a specific focus on the dynamic world of marketing. From developing strategic marketing plans to studying consumer behavior, my educational journey has equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the competitive landscape of the business world. When I received my diploma, I carried not only a certificate, but also a deep sense of accomplishment and readiness to contribute to the field.
During my time in college, I prioritized gaining leadership and professional experience. From being the President of a Sorority to helping non-profit teams to grow, I have enjoyed being a team player. I am comfortable being the link that connects different perspectives to help a team to thrive. I use my eclectic interests, tri-cultural background (¼ Japanese, ½ African American and ¼ Dutch) and empathetic essence to create connections. I am always looking to learn, adapt and take on new projects. My commitment to life long learning has lead me to embrace curiosity and understand that even failure holds valuable lessons.

I am excited to embark on the next chapter, armed with the tools and insights gained during my college years, as I step into the professional realm with confidence and enthusiasm for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Marketing Manager
American Dog Society
When I first joined American Dog Society, we were an ambitious team of four, looking to change the way that people dog parent. Christina Lowe, Steve Polgar, Caitlin Everhart and I created a unique brand identity, marketing and growth strategy from the ground up. I took the initiative to start and run all social media accounts with a streamlined content marketing strategy to increase brand awareness. By increasing our brand awareness, we grew the organization form four members to 90 in 7 months. I quickly adapted to this change and found new ways to contribute to the ever-changing organization. During October of 2023, I became a manager of our growing intern team. I guided the interns to create marketing materials that aligned with our marketing strategy which further increased our brand awareness. As a manager of the intern team, I also acted as the link between our Board of Directors and interns. I ensured that the ideas and goals desired by the Board of Directors were understood by the interns and guided the Board of Directors on how to interact with the interns. Over the last few months, I have also worked closely with Christina Lowe to create meaningful partnerships. Christina and I have presented to companies like Walt Disney Family Museum, Purina and Muttville. Because of my work at American Dog Society, I had the honor of receiving the Presidents Service Volunteering Award, which is a prestigious award given to individuals who complete over 250 ours of service. I am endlessly grateful for American Dog Society for giving me the opportunity to refine my partnership marketing, marketing strategy and management skills while helping countless dog parents.
President
Phi Sigma Sigma
I became the President of a college women's organization, and it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. Here's the kicker: I did not apply to be President. The organizations nominating committee reviewed the applications for the various leadership positions, and concluded that I should be the next President because of my experience and leadership qualities. Although I did not initially plan to become the President of the organization, I happily accepted and adapted to the role. As president, I was responsible for overseeing a fantastic board of 11 women. I am proud to say that we successfully recruited women of substance during the Fall and Spring 2023 semesters through digital marketing and recruitment events. Furthermore, we successfully managed an annual budget of $44,000, facilitating the planning of over 70 philanthropic and social events for the public and 65+ organization members. I was the link that connected our headquarters, campus administration, advisors and members. More than anything, I am proud of the laughter, smiles and unity amongst the organizations members that was created during my time as President. It was not always easy, but it was certainly worth it. The personal development that I gained through this experience is priceless.

Marketing Intern
Reclaim Foundation
Reclaim Foundation connects survivors of traumatic events to others from similar situations in order to nurture growth and healing within their online environment. They provide comprehensive trauma support in a variety of ways including compiling of resources, events, the Reclaim Network, and assistance with some trauma-related costs. As an intern, I created social media posts for the organization. The content mix that I worked on included informative posts, brand education posts, and posts that highlighted the team behind the organization. As an intern I helped to plan annual fundraising events such as the Shatter The Glass Event, and the Poppy Gala which raised over $15,000 in funding. Additionally, I created and implemented plans to promote targeted initiatives for college student trauma survivors. One of my favorite memories was when we called winners of our scholarships and got to hear their excitement and relief that we were helping them with their higher education fees. I was managed by Laura Young whose kind and patient demeanor helped me to thrive. Laura not only taught me about social media marketing, but she taught what a great leader looks like. Working closely with trauma survivors and creating marketing materials about sensitive topics required interns to be detail oriented and empathetic. I am grateful that I was able to support Reclaim Foundations mission and create meaningful change in the lives of trauma survivors.

Marketing Intern
Sierra Gold by SAI
When I first started at Sierra Gold by SAI, I could hardly tell you what a telemangement system is. And still, I gladly applied and accepted an internship at this company. I am very grateful that this team gave me the chance to learn, grow and make positive changes within their organization. I quickly learned about their telemanagement software services and made a plan to enhance the companies strategic initiative to increase public image through multi channeled digital marketing. This meant pinpointing how the company's telemanagement software could be tailored to benefit potential clients. I designed informational videos, graphics, and other marketing assets to inform potential customers about telecom security, compliance, and network optimization. This position taught me how to be comfortable with the uncomfortable, for I had to constantly learn new information to be successful. I look back at this ambitious first step into the world of marketing with immense gratitude.
